"Just about as far
back as I can remember I have had a yearning to discover what lies
beyond the horizon.
Learning to navigate with map and compass as a youngster gave me the
freedom to travel off the beaten track and a chance to visit places of
awe inspiring beauty. My love of navigation is alive and well and I
believe being largely self taught has given me a unique perspective on
the subject"
"The seas most powerful spell is romance; that romance which, in the
course of time, has gathered around the ships and men who from the
beginning have sailed upon it-the strange coasts and their discoveries,
the storms and the hardships, the fighting and the trading, and all the
strange things that have happened and still do happen to those who
venture upon it. With the mountains there is no romance. Man's
association with them is relatively recent and perhaps artificial. With
the sea it's as old as himself, natural and inescapable "

"We departed Jamaica on May 17 Steve
quickly developed an understanding of my yachts characteristics and
throughout the voyage was able to get the best possible performance but
always with a safety margin. He was constantly thinking ahead, ensuring
our course kept us as far as possible in the best weather and current.
Steve's electrical and mechanical skills enabled us to cope with the odd
gear failure. I would definitely use Steve if I am contemplating further
voyages and I have no hesitation in recommending Steve to anyone looking
for this type of service"

Firstly thank you for the truly professional way you delivered me, John
and Kingfisher to Weymouth, time was against me (work commitments ) as I
would have liked to come into my home port in my own boat, I believe you
can understand that!. You were able to easily overcome the teething
problems we first experienced at Levington and after a short delay we
were underway, John and myself as you were aware had very limited
sailing experience, but we felt safe and enjoyed the whole voyage night
sail , foul tide ,bad weather, the lot.
With warmest regards
and fair weather
